Loans and Consignments
Management of Goods in Consignment
The consignment of goods implies the delivery of products to a third party, who will be in charge of their custody and will be responsible for them. This third party, called "Receiver", has the option of returning the consigned products.
Each time products are consigned or reintegrated, an entry is registered in the Kardex of the corresponding product, indicating the type of operation performed.
Goods consignments must follow these guidelines:
- Consignation: Reduces available inventory.
- Reintegration: Increases available inventory.
- Control: A record is always kept of who has or has had certain products.
The List of Consignments window provides comprehensive control over loaned items. It allows the creation of new consignments, the reintegration of loaned products, and the partial return of the same. In addition, from the inventory window, it is possible to verify if a specific product has consigned units.
This functionality is especially useful for:
- Delivering tools and tracking who owns them.
- Distributing supplies.
- Providing products to external sellers.
- Assigning office equipment (such as cameras, cell phones, etc.).
